Lesueur Estates - Crime Alert

Dear Lesueur Estates Owners:   It was reported that last night, thieves hit un-locked cars in the neighborhood.  It seems to be a thing lately for thieves on foot to quickly sweep through neighborhoods and steal from un-locked vehicles.  They will swing through quickly on foot, checking vehicles left outside that have been left un-locked.  They quickly hit that vehicle looking for anything of value inside they can take, then move quickly onto the next un-locked vehicle they find.   Make sure to LOCK your vehicle if you leave it outside.  Take anything of value out of your vehicle or put it under a seat or in the trunk, etc. where it can not be seen.     GARAGE DOORS - continue to be left open according the officer that patrol the community.  Please check your garage doors in the evening before you retire for the night and make sure it is closed, so your garage does not become a target for thieves.   Report problems to Mesa Police at their non-emergency number 480-644-2211.  For emergencies or crimes in progress call 9-1-1.   Have a great weekend. Thanks Dave Heywood Property Manager

LANDSCAPE WORK

With Fall weather finally here, landscape changes for the Hawes entrance will begin tomorrow. There will be trucks and a mess at that entrance for several days. They will be pulling grass back off the entry monuments to stop the damage the sprinkles are doing to the entry monument and posts. Grass will be reduced off the wings but expanded down to the sidewalk in front of the sign to keep a nice green appearance at the entrance signs.  Plants will be removed and the area spruced up where needed to accent and beautify the entrance. Once the work done, the HOA will be painting the sign and monument wall areas.  We are looking forward to this upgrade. Please be careful and watch for workmen in that area over the next several days.

VEHICLE BREAK-INS

Late Friday night / early Saturday morning, several vehicles in LeSueur Estates were broken into. This is what we have been told: One vehicle that was broke into was on Monte around the corner from the mailboxes. A resident on Monterey and Terrell had two vehicles broke into. This resident had a security camera that showed the vehicle driving with the lights off. From observing the video, it appears there were 3 teens in a small mini van, possibly a Toyota. Two were breaking into the vehicles, the other was driving. They are described as follows: Person 1: Hair: curly; Age: teen; Sex: male; Ethnicity: white; Physical Build: scrawny; Top: hoodie; Bottoms: shorts. Person 2: Hair: curly; Age: teen; Sex: male; Ethnicity: possibly black or hispanic; Physical Build: scrawny; Top: dark T-shirt; Bottom: shorts. Vehicle: Dark brown or black; van (possibly a Toyota) One of the residents that lives by the park on Monte, has noticed an increase in unfamiliar vehicles parked on their street and believes drugs are being sold and used at the park. If you see anything you feel is not right, call the Police immediately. Always remember to lock your vehicles and do not leave items inside that can be seen. The Security company has been contacted to increase their patrol in the community. If you have further information about these break-ins, please call the Mesa Police and let them know. Information was posted on Nextdoor.

Burglary

A residnet on S Terrell was burglarized yesterday (June 14) around 5:30pm. Suspect went through the side gate into the backyard. A side window was broke to get in. The resident probably scared them off when he came home because they rummaged through everything but didn't steal anything.  Whomever ran out the back door and over the fence when the resident came home. No description of a suspect or suspects

Happy New Year!

Good Morning and Happy New Year!! We have had several residents inquire about the basketball hoop replacement at the main park that was vandalized.  A new one was ordered right away. It had to be special ordered, no one locally had one. It is a special cast aluminum backboard. As soon as it arrives, it will be installed. In addition to replacing the bbackboard, we will be replacing the vandalized picnic area roof at the Monterey Park this month.   If you see anyone hanging out in the park areas and you feel they do not belong, please contact the Mesa Police. Thank you, Dave Heywood Property Manager
